seriously?!? wtf.

woxy.com, one of my favorite internet radio stations (along with bagel radio, of course) will terminate its broadcasting on september 15th - unless someone with alot of cash money decides that investing in an indie rock bastion of awesomeness is a good idea. i am seriously on the verge of tears right now. and not because i will cry at almost anything.

i probably listen to woxy on a daily basis - and i've discovered alot of bands/artists because of it. they play the coolest stuff on the planet and have also done some fantastic lounge acts with some great bands (like birdmonster!). you can tell that the djs are just awesome regular peeps who love to geek out on music. i honestly feel like i'm losing a friend! holding. back. the. tears.

i have to agree with the station's letter to its listeners opening line - this sucks.

the subs heart threadless.

the submarines are a kick ass, super adorable indie pop duo that the company that i work for manages. threadless is a kick ass, super awesome tee shirt website that basically clothes all of my geekyfantastic friends. my super-talented artistic genius friend matthew even designs for them once in a while!

threadless has a submarines tee shirt design competition that starts TOMORROW - the theme is "peace & hate" which is the first track on their album declare a new state. if you know me, i've probably already made you listen to this album five thousand times. or made you go to their show at cafe du nord. or made you listen to me sing along to "brighter discontent" while driving to santa cruz - oh wait, that last one was just jordan. hee.

i know that i have alot of uber-creative and tee shirt lovin' friends - so get to designin' my peeps! i can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! w00t!

music snob question #2.

here we go!

"You're going through a phase where you are going out and hooking up with people. You don't like doing that, you're in a stage where you want it to change, but one morning you wake up in a strange bed. You're woken because the person you're next to is getting up in the morning and you feel ashamed for going back on your word to yourself. You hear the person starting the shower, hear the blinds open, hear some rattling in the kitchen...and you're looking at your phone for the time, plotting on how to leave...but then you hear the person put a record on the turntable (the hiss sound prior to the music) and then the song that starts playing actually makes you change your mind about wanting to get out of there. What song could make you change your mind about a perceived mistake? (remember, it would have to be on vinyl, and more likely than not, the first song on one of the sides)"

ooooh, i like this one. i have a lot of records that might make me change my mind about a random hookup - hee. i can't choose a number one, so i'll just list them all...boys, take notes. ;)

"mojo pin" - jeff buckley, grace

this entire album might be my favorite ever. ever ever. like, if i was held at gunpoint and someone asked me what my favorite album was, i would most likely blurt out grace. "mojo pin" isn't my favorite track, but just playing this album would at least make me think that this dude is cool.

"everything hits at once" - spoon, girls can tell

girls can tell is the best spoon album there is. don't try to argue with me.

"tiny spark" - brendan benson, lapalco

criminally underrated album from a criminally underrated artist. if you don't have this album yet, i implore you to go get it. and you'll realize that you don't just like the raconteurs because it's "jack white's side band".

"do it again" - steely dan, can't buy a thrill

the dan's first album, so i'd have to give props to the boy for owning it - and it's highly likely that he'd have this on vinyl. and everyone knows i love the dan - and boys who also love the dan. ahem, are you still taking notes?!? hee hee.

"son of sam" - elliott smith, figure 8

i didn't really discover elliott smith until figure 8 came out - i mean, i knew who he was but never got into him until this album. anyway, this track is instantly recognizable and catchy as hell. that intertwined guitar and piano intro - good stuff.

"i am trying to break you heart" - wilco, yankee hotel foxtrot

yay wilco. probably my favorite band (after steely dan) and an incredible album. that is all.

*ooooh, i have one more - cause it just came on my iTunes shuffle and i eff'n love this song and this album - "silence kit" - pavement, crooked rain, crooked rain. you can't go wrong with pavement. okay, now i'm done.

music snob question #1.

via willo:

"I'm going to be posting a series of music questions my friend Chris posed to me recently. You don't have to be a music 'snob', per say, I was just trying to think of a name for this series since there's about 10 of them, and that's what came to mind. :)

If you want to participate (meme!), please post your answer in the comments - or post your answer on your blog & provide a link to it in my comments.
'If you were just starting to date someone that you felt had real potential - he/she's nice, he's funny, seems at ease, shares general sensibilities with you...and one day early in the relationship, you check out his cd collection (I'm excluding the iPod dilemma for this question) and you discovered that he has pretty decent taste, but you're on the fence about whether he is someone you'd like to continue with...what combination of three artists in his collection would make you say, "um, no."?'"
hmmmm, well first i'd have to cancel out all of the potentially embarassing music that i actually own (hee - spice girls! ashlee simpson!) and would make me undateable. heh.

scarily enough, i think that this situation has actually happened to me in real life - the "dave matthews syndrome" * - when a boy tries to impress me with his vast love of music ("see, i like music too! we're meant to be!" - ugh, puh-leeeze.) and only ends up making me want to hurl. i know, i know, dumping someone because they don't like the same music that i like is shallow. i don't need the lecture, i'm a horrible person and i'm going to hell. i get it. ;)

i like alot of music though - and alot of baaaaad music too (see above), so he'd actually probably have to try really hard to make me bolt. i'm pretty forgiving, with a few exceptions...

and with that said, here are the three that come to mind at this precise moment in time:

nickelback, panic! at the disco, james blunt.

yes, james blunt. i just don't get it. call me crazy. and beware my wrath if i catch you listening to him (right, jordan?!?) and my disdain for panic! at the disco stems from the recent discovery that bloc party is OPENING for them on their national tour. bloc party as support for these DBs? wtf. seriously, i think i just threw up in my mouth a little.

*not that dave matthews didn't make some good okay records back when i was 15 and a wannabe-hippie, but as a wise man once said, "he's run his course".

birdmonsterarama.

i forgot to blog about this last week - but i was reading the most recent issue of Paste on my way to work one morning and lo and behold, under "albums we're excited for" blurb was...BIRDMONSTER!!! i was so excited! but i was on the bus, and couldn't share my excited with the smelly homeless dude on my left so i just did a little happy shuffle in my seat, very inconspicously, and made a mental note to myself to blog about. and then promptly forgot. oops!

so, this morning on my way to work, i was reading the new WIRED, flip flip flip, and OMG it's birdmonster AGAIN!!! and again, i'm all by myself. no one to share my joy. awww rats! and this time, they even ran a photo of the boys! my boys! w00t w00t! SO EXCITING!

see, i told you people they're gonna be huge. duh.

swapping is like shopping, but without the guilt.

i think miss alice tiara said that, or at least something similiar to that, on sunday at the girlie clothes swap (hosted by the loverly & gracious sharon) this past weekend.

i haven't done a clothes swap since high school probably - so this was a treat. and i loves me some clothes. and some shopping. it might be my second favorite thing to do (after going to shows). what can i say, i'm a clothes whore!?! hey, it could be worse - i could be a real whore. ba-dum-ching! hee hee.

it was a very pleasant sunday afternoon - sharon provided mimosas, misty brought cupcakes, hez made a very yummy quiche, abby (i think) made her grandmas special recipe deviled eggs (i think everyone's grandma has a special way to make deviled eggs - at least mine did - and no offense to anyone else's grandma, but mom-mom's super-secret recipe deviled eggs kick ASS. trust me, i'll make them for you sometime. you won't believe how good they are!), and there were lots of half-naked girls running around. now, aren't YOU jealous?

girlies after the swap!

now that i'm in my late(r) 20's, i'm much more comfortable with my squishy and imperfections and don't really care if my girl_friends see them. i never would've been like that in my late teen's - early 20's, even when i was a meager size 0. it's nice to get to a place where you're comfortable with your body, even if you'd like to lose 5 or 10 lbs, you know if it doesn't happen it's no big whoop.

anyway, i scored some sweeeeet items - two cute dresses from misty (thank god i have smallish boobs, hee hee), a jumper/dress & a tank from alice (i think), a never-been-worn-or-detagged grey sweater with multi-color stripes from the gizzap, a cute green zip sweater, a cute empire waist stripey white, blue, and green top, some kick ass scarves from jess, an oh-so-hot-right-now denim skirt from sharon, super sweet silver bangley bangles, and i'm sure other stuff that i can't remember right now. that's a lot!

funnily enough, during the swap, willo, misty, hez, and i kept picking things up and saying to each other "oh, this is cute - do you like this?" to which the other person would reply "uh, that's mine" - hee hee! we obviously know each others taste/style a little too well!

after the swap, alice, jess, abby, and i went to medjool for a rooftop afternoon cocktail and then stopped by the park to see the man clan for a little while. such a super fun afternoon, and i must say it was nice to be around girls and only girls for a change (for the majority of the day). gotta love the ladies! w00t w00t!

SonicLiving, which has fast become the way i plan my life (aka 'what show am i going to that night?') is now live in beta! w00t! gabe & ryan have been hard at work on this sucker for months and months and months and even let willo & i weigh in on the "calendar issue" which is key for pro show hos like ourselves. heh heh.

it is da bomb diggity - check it out! get an account! befriend me! then we can see what shows we have in common and have a big old party! awwww yeah!

i'm so happy it's live now and i can link people to my calendar (there's a link on my sidebar too, in case you're wondering) to see what shows are coming up. yay yay YAY!!! go SonicLiving!

different names for the same thing.

this past friday night, the gang (me, ben, jess, alice, cam, teddyG) and i made the trek ALL THE WAY over to berkeley to see the death cab for cutie/spoon/mates of state show at the greek. hey, that's a quite a feat for us city dwellers, mmmkay?

the show crew (minus alice, 'cause she's the photographer)!

we got there a little later than we had wanted to *ahem. cam.* but we still scored some pretty good seats, despite the fact that we were a wee bit farther away from the stage than i'm used to. hey, i'm a professional show ho. i ain't sayin'....in any event, we secured our spot just in time to see mates of state. HI, CUTENESS. this was the third time i had seen them this year (and actually my third time total) - i never get sick of their complete and total fabulousity. omg, sooooo good. of course they played their "hits" ("goods (all day)" ROCKED!) and they also did a cover of gnarls barkeley's "crazy" in the middle of "like you crazy" - which i had heard before on the internets, but which was also waaaaay better live. oh, those crazy married kids and their shenanigans! love them.

spoon was up next - hello (one of my) top five favorite band(s) ever! awwwww yeah. they are so eff'n rawktastical. but i will have to agree with the lady that was in line with me in the bathroom (and alice) that they are much better in a smaller venue. and also, you just know that a good 80% (i'm probably underestimating that) of the crowd was there just to see death cab and could've cared less about MoS or spoon. stupid people. stupid stupid! whatever, spoon still rocked. like always. i am ready for a new album now boys - ah thank ya.

oh - i must interject here how amazed i was with the fabulousness of the greek. such a cool venue! even if it is semi-big, i don't think there are really any bad seats in the whole joint. and the setting is really pretty and magical and it's nice to see a show outside where you aren't sweating to death (coachella, comfest) or have to watch the stage from a giant monitor (shoreline). okay, back to the rock...

i made a quick run for the bathroom - argggh, stupid bladder - but made it back *just* as death cab was taking the stage. WORD! yay! these guys are such performers - all doing the moon walk (haha - right, misty? can i get a walla?) and flailing themselves all over the stage and bouncing, bouncing, bouncing along to the beat and just being generally engaging and having FUN. well, at least it looks like they're having fun. and they have totally beefed up their light show and stage dressing and normally i would be like "ugh, sell outs" but i won't because a) i loves me some DCFC and b) it wasn't super cheesy. and the whole night i was like "please play 'marching bands of manhattan' now bitches" and they wouldn't and was like "wtf dudes? why you gotta hate?" but then they finally played it - the very. last. song. and i was all happy and i loved them again. w00t!

note: jess makes a good seat on BART, in the event you don't have one. hee.

it was also ben gibbard's 30th birthday, and some people (heck, hmm, cam. jess.) thought it would be a good idea to try to get the crowd to sing him happy birthday, but wave style - like we'd start and then everyone else would join in. of course they would! duh! why wouldn't they - don't they know who we ARE?!? but alas, it didn't work. and we just sounded like drunkle fools singing out of tune. oh well. good times.

*footnote: the only bad part of the night - i don't like sitting at shows. may it never happen again. amen.

the rest of alice's photos from the night here.

__________

after the show we hit up the lone palm for a few drinks and misty & ted met up with us and i got to give misty the awesome korean notepad that willo & i got for her earlier in the day that had a giant pancake on the front of it - with sunglasses - and said things like "can you hear...the sound of excitement?" and "can you hear...the sound of the future?" oh, those crazy asians. gotta love 'em. *for the record, i really do love the asians. i live with one. just to clarify - i'm down with the asians. thank you.

for some reason, after we left the lone palm, jess, ben, cam, and i decided that it was a good idea to get pizza and have an afterparty-pizzaparty at my house. really, we sort of kidnapped cam and made him come with us b/c he was already in the cab and he is easily manipulated (sorry cam, it's true). our pizza mission was a trying one though - and jess had to use her lawyery skills to score us a measily four slices from the stupid pizza pino place around the corner from my house b/c they were mean to us and wouldn't let us order. wtf? way to go jess though - she even got me a slice of veggie! awwwww.

i tried to stay up to catch the repeat of josh on conan (see previous post) but i fell asleep promptly after eating my pizza. laying on the arm of my couch. my neck still hurts. oww.

drunkle vondrunklestein(s).

tonight i was drunken IM'd by two of my favourite boys* (i have many favourites, so don't get too excited now kiddos). i totally wish i would've saved the conversation, but i wasn't really thinking that far in advance. i will say, however, that drunkle IM'ing when you are on sober end of things is HILARIOUS! now i know how misty felt when she was in hong kong last month. haha.

being told things like "you smell like poop" and *other stuff i will not post here on my blog in the best interest of the aforementioned parties*, along with random declarations of dim sum (?) and "you are SUPER CUTE" and "we love you" (hey, i will not argue with those last two!) is quite entertaining after a night of being a responsible adult and doing WORK until 11:30 pm. wow. i heart my boy_friends! and please take note of that space in there. heh. and see, i don't go out every night! hee hee.

and with that...goodnight!

more blogging about music.

yay - happy days of music pontification have returned.

i'll recap this past weekend's evening (and day) activities soon - but i wanted to make sure i didn't forget to blog about some great music that i've recently discovered. w00t!

over the past two weeks or so, i've acquired a great deal of new music and i've listened to pretty much NONE of it b/c of my busy social schedule - which is a damn shame. so yesterday, when ben & i were driving up to marshall (aka land of intermittent cellphone reception) for yummy oysters, i decided to bring along a few discs for us to check out. road trips are the best for this sort of stuff - and it's kind of like work for me - which i can't complain about, y'know? things *could* be worse. heh.

i've totally been into this kyle andrews disc amos in ohio. the title track is so addictively catchy. *i am listening to it right now* it's a mixture of singer-songwritery goodness and little electronic blips and beeps and embellishments. his voice reminds me alot of pete yorn - musically, he also kind of reminds me of scapegoat wax (does anyone else remember him? "hello, allison"!!!), but his more poppy, less hip-hoppy tunes. i am totally digging him. big time. good road trip music, it reminds me of sunshine. haha. eff'n hippie. ;)

another disc we checked out was the proclivities - which is really just this one dude, matt douglas, who is friends with josh (ritter) and sam & zack from josh's band (who also play on the album). this is a really beautiful record - soulful folk rock, great arrangements, and his voice is really soothing and pleasant to listen to. i realize that "pleasant" isn't the most exciting adjective to describe someone's sound, but it fits and i'm too tired to figure out a better explanation! also A+ road trip music!

the third disc we listened to was john ralston - needle bed. ANOTHER indie folk rock dude. hi, we were on a roll, okay?!? also good stuff - especially the song that i hope is the single or his label is stupid - "gone, gone, gone". i must have a thing for rock/love songs that use the work "fuck" in the them or something (see also: "come pick me up" - ryan adams. "come pick me up, take me out, fuck me up, steal my records...") because that is what totally stood out to me in the lyrics to this song when i first heard it and made me pay attention! haha.

"i wanna touch you,
i wanna breathe you,
say fuck you,
i don't need you, get out"

man, what up with that?!? must be my inner romantic aggression (?) and omnipresent confusion identifying with them or something. weird.

i'm so glad i had the opportunity to listen to this stuff - yay for awesome new music discoveries! oh, how i heart thee...

birdmonster on pitchfork.

misty already posted about this, but i wanted to mention it too, in case any of the five people that read my blog want to catch these boys live on their upcoming sonic assault of these united states of america (which, in all honesty, you NEED to do in the next 5.2 seconds because they're gonna be kind of a big deal and you can say "oh yeah, i saw them at blah blah blah back in 2006 - i can't believe they sold out madison square garden in 2 minutes...i'm so lucky to have seen them in such an intimate venue - blah blah blah").

best. band. everrrr.

josh on conan!

for those of you who don't know, i work for the management company that manages singer-songwriter josh ritter - wednesday of last week, we got a call that conan o'brien's musical guest for friday's show had dropped out and they wanted josh! OMG OMG OMG! so. excited. pee'ing my pants. hee hee.

friday night i went to the death cab/spoon/mates of state show so i missed seeing it at the 12:30 time slot (thankfully willo tivo'd it for me!) - i tried to catch it on the repeat time at like 3:30 but i fell asleep on the couch after the impromptu pizza party at my house afterhours (more on that later) - oops!

doug, josh's fearless street team and fan club leader, put the video up on youtube this morning though - score! and here it is, for your enjoyment:

do the shuffle.

on my way to/from the post office this afternoon my dj iPod was totally playing some good tunes. i realize that all the music in my iPod is mine - but sometimes i'm like "seriously, dj iPod - are you gonna play paul mccartney & wings AGAIN?!? "...some people wanna fill the world with silly love songs..."

break it down.

some girls - "just like the first time"

if i ever have a band, i want to cover this song. some girls only released one album (update! they have a new one that came out in july! yay!), which i think is a damn shame. the all-girl band is made up of two former blake babies, freda love and juliana hatfield (also of the lemonheads), and heidi gluck (the pieces). i loves me some juliana hatfield - her babyish voice but rockin' attitude?!? killer. remember that j.hatfield song from back in the early 90's - "universal heartbeat"? sooooo good. but wait, this diatribe is not about that song! anyway, "just like the first time" is so catchy & groovy & hooky. it has a pretty sweet bass line too, which always stands out to me considering i'm a sucker for a disco break. heh.

INXS - "not enough time"

omg I LOVE INXS! not INXS now, with that stupid canadian in it. INXS back in the day with sexxxxy mcsexerson & aussie michael hutchence. c'mon people, admit it, INXS was a good band! are you with me?!? m. hutchence has this lazy vocal delivery that is both super seductive and frustrating. it's like he's feigning indifference and interest while at the same time pouring his heart out. it's not like he's not really feeling what he's singing, but he doesn't want to fully commit to it - like that boy who is totally aloof but whom you know is still interested? yeah, that's him.

gemma hayes - "ran for miles"

i'm a big gemma hayes fan and i feel like i'm the only one! yes, i'm a girl! i like sappy, girlie, omg you broke my heart and now you must pay for it by listening to how much you hurt me in song, music sometimes! but with some edge! so sue me! her debut album, night on my side, is still in heavy rotation in my collection, but her follow up hasn't even been released in the US yet. poo. i was heavily into my shoegazer period when i stumbled upon her (at the suggestion of my then-boyfriend - the one good attribute he did have was his taste in music!) and she definitely has those shoegazer, heavy-on-the-effects-pedals (distortion alert!), dream pop tendencies in some of her more up tempo songs. this is a sweet acoustic guitar ballad though - with lyrics like "today i ran for miles, just to see what i was made of..." and "wanna tell you just how hard it's been, trying to talk myself out of jumping". hi, sadness! i also love her voice - kinda of raspy at times, but still delicate and earnest, bittersweet. (see also: z berg from the like, harriet wheeler from the sundays)

aberdeen city - "god is going to get sick of me"

we were just talking about this band, and specifically this song, on sunday at the park because i could not get it out of my head. they've re-released the freezing atlantic (#20 in my top 25 of 2005) on a bigger label and re-recorded some tracks, including this one. of course i'm partial to the version that i've been listening to for the last year or so, but whatevs - a good song is a good song. is a good song. i am way into the angular, yet circular guitar melody in this song. that's probably not the best way to describe it, but oh well! plus, my pretend, rock star, future boyfriend is in this band. yum.

faith no more - "epic"

omg - how much does this song ROCK?!? alot. i love mike patton - even when he had that stupid shaved-underneath-but-long-on-top hairstyle. i remember when the video to this song came out, i was sad for the little fishy that was flailing about at the end, gasping for...um, water? whatevs. this was the precursor/predecessor to all of those rap-rock bands (whose names i will not even utter, the horror! make it stop, make it stop!) but it was done right. funky, crunchy, m.patton's outrageously awesome vocals - good times my friends, good times.

moustache superstar.

at buzz's WWDC geektastic party on monday night, i usurped kevin's nametag which read "i usually have a moustache" - which in turn begged for the ubiquitous index finger faux handlebar moustache black sharpie tattoo (thanks michael!)

it made me feel very sophistiated. no one wanted to kiss me though - now i know how boys feel.

wrap it up.

last weekend was yet again another in a series of rawktacular good times. shocking, huh?

friday night was harryh's birthday gathering at lucky 13 - where we pretty much took over the bar. YESSSSS. we rule. it was also e.benson's last night in town, so we had extra reason to do it up right. and we did. yep, consider it done.

birfday boy harryh & the gorgeous alice!

(still) good for licking.

team FABULOUS!

misty, ethan, and the rest of the crew also ended up coming to lucky 13 and i finally got to meet ethan! yay! he really, really exists!!!

__________

saturday aubs, willo, katie, amy, dixie and i went to medjool for a girls night dinner! fun! and while i do love my boy_friends, it was nice to be surrounded by kick ass, smart, funny, and lovely ladies. awwww yeah!

lovely!

after dinner, willo knew of a birthday party a few blocks away, so we decided to crash it - hey, who wouldn't want six hottt ladies showing up at their birthday party? that's right, NO ONE. word.

we totally took over the party (sorry, brett!) and made new geeky music friends and drank copoius amounts of wine and other craziness ensued. it was good times, USA, all the way.

kenneth gives me a lift.

willo, me, our new musicgeek friend quinn, and sneaky matt!

more of willo's super fun photos from the night here!

__________

sunday afternoon, i met up with willo, jess, teddyG, and ryan at dolores park and it was GORGEOUS out. i made sure to wear my sunscreen this time though, considering the last time i was at d.park i turned into a lobster. ouch! and not cute.

sunny good times in the mission!

sunday funday photos here!

yay super fun weekend!!!

i heart the texting.

now that i have my snazzy new phone, i am a texting maniac. pretty soon i will never have to use my voice ever again!

friday night at harryh's birthday party, harry & i were discussing how e.case wasn't there and harry was sad - so i texted eric this:

harry wasn't really crying, but i up'd the drama factor to lay on the guilt. it didn't work though. poo.

out of order. just like my life.

i just realized i never blogged about promsumating!!! ahhhhh!

last saturday night, the fine folks of consumating.com (an interweb site that i am NOT a member of - yeah, i know, right?!? since when do i turn down an opportunity to waste more time on zee web?!?) held a prom for the geek population of san francisco. we decided that we were going to go all out - real prom stylee - and not just any prom, for some reason we thought it would be a good idea to rock it like it was 1976 or something. hahaha.

saturday during the day aubs, me, daisy, cam, and jordan went to the haight to do some vintage dress and man-attire shopping and we totally scored! please, check out these hot ensembles:

foxxxy.

daisy had us over from some pre-promsumating festivities - repleat with champagne, cheese & crackers, wine, and pizza. hi, just like real prom! aubs even got a polaroid camera for the event, and the photos were freakin' out of control!

you know what to doooooo...

prom itself was eff'n sweet - i think there was a pretty good crowd there, but i only really paid attention to our group because hello, we were eff'n badass hotness! haha. i even managed to successfully nag and guilt the ryan king to come too! and he DANCED! score!

it was awesome.

ro-sham-bo, yo!

last night was the inaugural erik & lele's unofficial RoShamBo tournament SF 2006 at our beloved watering hole, the hemlock. awwwwww yeah!

at first i was in no mood for rock-paper-scissoring it up - but that damn e.benson is so gd convincing - or, good at guilting me into things - or, basically i would do anything that boy tells me to do because he's E.BENSON! just like another eric i know...for some reason i am powerless in the presence of their boyish charm and (presumed) infinite wisdom. heh.

awww yeah, triple trouble back in da hooooouse!

there was a big old gang of us assembled at the bar, drinks were flowing, fists were flying (only during tournament action, no fighting, we are a peaceful people!), photos were taken (nooo - really?!? haha!), fun was had-en, and aubs & i capped it all off the way any good night should come to a delightful end - PIZZA!

willo preps aubs for her big match up w/ the DB swede. heh.

lele breaks it down (cam's face in this one cracks me up!)

willo, aubs, and buzz have some more awesome photos from the night too! ROCK. (paper. scissors.)

i'm staying in tonight to catch up on some quality time with project runway and my pajamas. and my bed. being a social butterfly/partying superstar is HARD. and TNDC is right around the corner. lord help me.

okay, weird.

this hit a little too close to home for me today, considering a conversation i had yesterday -

*edit: obviously the widget that was here is going to change every day since it's a DAILY horoscope - duh. so now the horoscope is different and doesn't make sense! haha. anyway, what it DID say was something like:

"once it was perfect. now you've outgrown it. misplaced devotion builds resentment if you stay. moving on is okay. seek what makes you happy."

see, now the following makes sense again:

i am going to take this as divine intervention of sorts - or interweb intervention. or something. you're right crazy astrological widget - moving on is okay! seek what makes ME happy! girl power! omg, did i just quote the spice girls? man, i need to stop going out so much! ack!
