dude, so today i had what leslie deemed a very "california moment". i was on my way from one appointment to another and was pulling up to a stop sign....lo and behold, i see someone that seems familiar walk across the street in front of my stopped car. in my head i think "gee, that looks like sean penn". and then i realize it IS sean penn! yeah, you heard me right! and then i looked at the dude that was with him and it was...ben stiller! sean penn & ben stiller, taking a stroll on a wednesday afternoon, right in front of my car.

new music mondays.

yes, i know that i'm sort of appropriating the iTunes "new music tuesdays" tradition...but this will probably be the only monday i do this seeing as how i can rarely determine what day of the week it is at any given time.

in any event, i thought i'd give you kiddies a peek into what i've been listening to lately...after a spell of not really getting in to any new stuff, my appetite for all things new & exciting (as far as music goes, that is) has been resurrected!!! ya'aaaaaay!

okay, i swear this will be the last post about cops, the telly show, for a looooong time.

but, i was just watching an old, oldies, olden-style episode and realized why i didn't watch cops back in the day. i mean, other than the fact that i was 8 and wasn't allowed to...anyway, it totally sucked back then! the film quality is poor & the subject matter is not nearly as interesting...some old lady trying to pick up a phoney prescription circa 1987 vs. transvestite drag queen truck drivers of 2004?!?

well kiddies, i'm off on my first official business trip...this stuff is freakin' me out! i come from humble beginnings in the public sector, where a good deed is rewarded with a commemorative magnet or, if one is lucky, a mini-AM/FM radio that only works when you tilt you head to the left and stick your finger in your right ear!

who flys their employees all the way across the country, puts them up in a fancy schmancy resort, and feeds them copious amounts of foodstuffs, just to school them on improving the flow of communication? pitney bowes does! dang.

might not have blog access whilst i'm away...so don't be hatin' if i'm unable to post for a while. i'll bring back a full report (and hopefully i won't be 10 lbs heavier from all the desserts!)

oh yes, it's gonna be a party up in here tonight! what does a single gal like myself do on a saturday night? she colours her hair (strawberry blonde-ish this time!), makes some brownies (check), watches cops (see post below), gets comfy on the couch (check), and prepares to conduct a 'my so-called life' marathon! i'm getting over a cold/icky-feeling spell, so tonight this girl is gonna take 'er easy and rekindle my long-forgotten psuedoromance with jordan catalano.

please, do not disturb. i need some 'alone time' with my honey. *wink*

i love cops.

no, not necessarily the boys in blue...but rather the best reality tv show evah...COPS. (cue bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when they come for you..)

i know it's not "cool" or "hip" with the kids to enjoy this show...but dangit if it isn't the most entertaining thing on the telly!!! nothing is better than watching a crackhead with one tooth, running from the po-po, shoeless, and dressed in drag. ah, good times my friends.

not convinced? check your local listings and give it a chance...i think i'll soon have some fellow cops-aholics in due time. word.
