yo tengo hambre.
i am embarking on a journey. a "let's see if i can change my eating habits" journey b/c i've recently realized that i don't eat as well as i should. i know i'm lacking in the protein department due to my fishetarianism, and i tend to skip meals alot because i'm busy. and lazy. i hate to cook for myself. and then at night i load up on carbs b/c i'm so hungry! it's a vicious cycle. i love mac 'n cheese. my famous tag line is "i eat pizza 3 out of the 7 nights of the week". and that is, scarily enough, usually true! yowza.
i am trying to do a sort of variation on the south beach diet (urgh, i hate the word "diet" b/c i'm not really trying to lose weight - i just feel sluggish & gross all the time - not necessarily chunky monkey. really mom, i'm eating, i swear! haha.). today was my first day and it sucked. i really want a cookie or some bread right now. ohmigosh - i AM a carb addict!!!
i've read several places that people carb load because they think it gives them energy, but that actually protein is pretty important (more important) to energy levels as well. i am always tired. it sucks. granted, some of this has to do w/ my wack sleep schedule as well, but i'm sure that my eating habits don't help...
the other thing that i'm not going to be able to do is DRINK BEER. holy crap, that's going to be tough. a beer & a show are like peas & carrots to me! but now it's hello aquafina, goodbye fat tire! haha.
we'll see how i feel in a week or so, but right now i'm starvin' marvin. i also haven't been to the grocery store, so i have NOTHING in my house to even snack on that is good for me. oh wait! i have string cheese - SCORE! wow, i don't think i've ever been this excited about string cheese before in my entire life! i have to go eat now.
