weekend update.

saturday night i went out with a gaggle of my b.reps coworkers. i accidently fell asleep on my couch and didn't wake up until 11:00, when the party peeps called me to find out where the heck i was - oops. amazingly enough, i got ready & made it over to toronado before midnight, but the party had moved over to another bar in the neighborhood, an bodhran, so we peaced out of toronado to join the rest of the crew at the other bar...

elaina, kyle, & i at an bodhran!

because i was about 5 or 6 drinks behind everyone it was highly entertaining - retail folks are crazy!!! haha. one of the bartenders there, rory, was super-friendly & super-cute. and super-irish. i might have to go back. ahem, what is it w/ drooling over cute bartenders lately? (see: the hemlock a few weeks ago.) anyhoots, the rest of the photos of the night are here.

sunday morning i woke up at 8:30 for some reason, despite not getting home until 2:00 am...wtf. while i waited for willo & her little sis haylie, who was visiting from colorado, i went out & grabbed some coffee & called my parents. i don't think i've ever voluntarily woken up that early on a sunday in my entire life. wtf.

after willo & haylie picked me up we headed over to the east bay to meet up with trevor & his gf ana for brunch at the thai temple. it was soooo yummy delicious! and all the profits go to support the temple, so it's good eats that make you feel good about yourself too. yay.

flea market finds!

after brunch we headed over to the ashby flea market and then made the trek to the albany bulb....the bulb is a former trash dump that was covered over with dirt over 20 years ago and has since been adopted by artists & hippie-commune people, who over the years have reconfigured found pieces of "trash" into sculptures and have painted gigantic wooden canvases in the outdoor art gallery. it has also been controversial because apparently the local government wants to turn it into a more manicured city park and there are even rumours that they want to build a bed, bath, & beyond (or some similar home furnishings outlet) close by and gentrify the whole area. boooooooooo!!!

at the albany bulb.

trevor was an awesome tour guide & took us to all the 'hot spots' on the bulb - the art gallery, the ampitheathre/fit pit, and the castle. it was really amazing & really fantastic. photos from the thai temple/bulb extravaganza here.

after our east bay adventure, willo, haylie, & i decided that we needed ice cream - because there is nothing better than ice cream on a cold february day....or something?!? c'mon, everything is made better with a footnote of ice cream goodness.

man, i swear i did more activity on a sunday than i had in about five months - and since i woke up at an ungodly hour i promptly headed home for a much-needed nap. but a kick ass sunday through & through! wheeeeeeee.

okay, time for bed. goodnight & have a pleasant tomorrow...
