whip smart.
i've been on an early/mid 90's nostalgia kick recently - perhaps because my ten year high school reunion is this month, perhaps because i'm slowly trying to put my entire cd collection on my iPod - whatevs. i'm all about the classic "alternative" rock of my youth. heh, remember when they had the alternative cd section at record stores? remember when there were record stores? oh, le sigh, those were the days.
anyway, i stumbled upon this classic nugget of my teenage years on youtube today:
holy shit it's liz phair! back when she was kick ass and grrrl power and didn't write lame mid-tempo radio and film singles. sorry liz, i love you, but you know it's true.
what a fine specimen of the glory days of 120 minutes - it's lo-budg! it makes no sense! ahhh, wind machine! there are random rowers in it (which i'm sure is a big reason why we all liked it)! man, i miss 120 minutes. that show was so rad! now the kids watch TRL or whatever bullshit show is on that i don't know about because i'm OLD.
and now i'm going to go listen tospin doctors blues traveler uh, PAVEMENT . yeah, pavement, kids. a little brighten the corners perhaps. what? you don't think i really listen to those crappy bands still, do you? heh heh.

Wow, I've never watched that sober. We used to watch music videos while drank before we'd head out to cause trouble (aka dance badly and fail to talk to girls).
