confession.
so i have a secret. and i'm willing to expose it now, to the internets. are you so excited/intrigued?
my secret is...i love love loooooooove ballet/dance movies. the cheesier the better. i was reminded of this obsession tonight when the cheesiest/most awesome ballet movie, center stage, was on the teeeeveeee. OMG I LOVE THIS MOVIE. hiiii, hot man ballet dancers who ride motorcycles. mmm mmm mmmmm. the best part of this whole movie is the last dance number that cooper (aforementioned hot man ballet dancer riding a motorcycle) choreographs to jamiroquai's "canned heat". JAMIROQUAI! yeah, i said it. did i mention that i love this movie?
EDIT: oh dear lord i forgot that this movie also features one of my favorite michael jackson songs - "the way you make me feel"!!!! dude, i'm in cheese heaven.
i took ballet for like 5.2 seconds when i was six. then i started swimming, which took up the remainder of my life for the next 12 years. so, i think this obsession has something to do with my unfufilled dreams of being a dancer. a daaaaaaaaaaaaaacer!
oh, and did i mention that peter "sandy cohen" gallagher is in this movie? awwwwwwwesome.
anyway, now you know my secret.

oh man, we are two dorks in a pod. i totally own that movie. eeks! hahaha. i made an lj post not too long ago and got everyone to comment with all the good cheesy dance movies they could think of, but i'm too tired to find it right now. but when i do, i'll forward the link to you!!

i think the russian dancer in center stage (and i say russian in the most eastern-european-ignorant manner, maybe serbian, maybe ??) is actually an ice skating gold or silver olympic medalist. that's right. i'm full of centerstage knowledge.
