a drink and a quick decision?

uhhh, so i just now realized that the title of grand national's new album, A Drink and A Quick Decision, is most likely taken from one of the smoothest songs ever recorded on vinyl and brought to my eager ears - oh yes, hall & oates' classic love jam (and a personal favourite of yours truly) "she's gone". you have GOT to be kidding me!

to say that this makes me lurve grand national even more than i did before would be quite an understatement.

the dudes in grand national might ape the police on a regular basis, but if this album title really is taken from "she's gone" then i cannot judge. anyone who appreciates such a rock gem as this cannot be faulted!

and now, for a little glammed out and (seemingly doped up?) hall & oates action - i never knew oates sang lead on this song! today is full of revelations. and is it just me or did oates totally inspire the vest-only tuxedo look from flashdance? you be the judge:
