best. (extended) weekend. ever.

last thursday, my dahling ohio beau/gentleman friend (can i call you that?!?) zachariah flew into the city for a long weekend of epic proportions. there were giggles (me), good food (us), girlie drinks (zach), laundry-doing (us, how domestic), sunburns (zach - he's not used to the cali sun!), random former coworker (x 2) encounters @ the ferry building (me), and a bunch of other fun, good-timey stuff that i will recap henceforth.

thursday i met zach at the BART station and after getting him all settled in at mi casa we headed to victor's for my favorite - pizza and beer! yum. and not just any old pizza - the *best* pizza in san francisco. and it was delish.

light is neat.
zach is here, yaaaaaaaaaay!

thursday was also natalie jane case's birthday, so after dinner we scooted on down to the cat club for 80's night and fancy dancing. zach and i remarked on how if we closed our eyes and pretended, we were essentially @ skully's in columbus for ladies 80's night (which also happens to be on thursdays - coincidence?) and that made us laugh. hahaha. i guess you have to be from the 'bus to appreciate that. um, yeah.

natalie's birthday!
happy birthday, natasha!!!

friday i had to work, so i left zach to his own devises and he decided that it would be a good idea to WALK EVERYWHERE in san francisco all day. crazy boy. because i was tired from work and zach was in pain from walking all day in converse all-stars (note: never wear all-stars when you have to walk any sort of distance - i have also learned this lesson from firsthand experience) we just went to dinner at little thai and stayed home to make fun of my upstairs neighbor's party music selections. *insert thumping house music here*

saturday night jess had a futon-warming party, where willo & ryan met us, and then willo, ryan, zach and i went to the bigfoot (i was the only one who had ever been there before!) to watch them light the bar on fire and do shots. oh, shots - how i loathe/love you!!! haha. evil. shots are evil.

after a brief stint at the bigfoot we decided it was high time to hit the hemlock. cam & mario and their crew met up with us there and then misty surprised us too! hello, good times!!! yay. jess & her buddies also made the trek down to meet us and then the (photo taking) party got started. i also seem to remember willo & i ganging up on zach and telling him to "stop being such a girl" and do a "real shot" and somehow guilting/shaming him into doing a shot of jameson with ryan. yeah, we girls can be persistant and persuasive. we don't tolerate girlie shots - we mean business!!!

adorable.
my friends are the cutest.

hahaha!
crackin' up.

i tried to get zach to make a pit stop at bob's donuts on our way home but he was having none of that - wtf!?!? (incidently, i went there this morning to fulfill my donut craving.)

sunday i had the whole day off so zach & i went down to the ferry building/farmer's market and had breakfast. while we were waiting for our table at boulettes larder, my old coworker from pitney bowes, lisa, and her fiance showed up - so we decided to share a table. random! and THEN, as we were sitting at breakfast another one of my old coworkers from PB, christina, walked by!!! whoa. weirdness.

zach & i @ the ferry building.
cuteness.

after a delightful breaky, zach & i took the ferry to sausalito, which i had never done before - fun! water is neat. haha. and i got to see alcatraz close up. word. there was some sausalito arts festival going on but it was like, literally a block long. smallest. festival. ever. and there was some old-timers band there that kept playing songs about their women leaving them for dudes with pickup trucks and other weird stuff like that. ooooookay.

monday i met zach in dolores park after work - i hadn't been to the park in aaaages and it was soooo nice out & i was like, why don't i do this more often? what a dork. there were alot of men in speedos there though, so maybe THAT'S why. heh heh. after a quick stop at zeitgeist for happy hour we went to dinner at little baobab (mmmm, fried plantains!) and called it a night because we are old and can't hang like we used to.

so, yesterday morning little zacharoni left to go back to ohio and now i'm sad. *sigh* why do the good guys always live 2000 miles away? i am convinced that my life is cursed when it comes to boys. poo. that's right, i said poo.

(my) photo explosion from the weekend here.

misty's photos from saturday night here.
