so many things.
dammit, i'm baaaack! awww yeah, had a blast in ohio with my family & friends, it was so great to see everyone and it wasn't even that cold!
i was in marietta with the fam for the first part of my holiday and it was good to be home. although marietta does get pretty boring after the first few days! i hadn't seen my mom or stepdad since i was home in june and hadn't seen my little bro since his trip out here in july. dang!
christmas eve j. ben made his customary stop over to see me & the family before he went on to mass - and i made a comment to my mom & ben that i wonder if we'll still be spending christmas eve with each other (ben & i) when we're both married (to OTHER people, mind you) and have kids. we realized that we've spent 8 of the last 9 christmas eve's together - and the only reason we missed last year was b/c he didn't come home from hawai'i! man, i am the nicest exgf ever!!!
christmas morning my mom made us get up at 8:30 AM and open presents because my little bro had to work at 10:00. um, i was still on west coast time, so it was like 5:30 in the morning for me! i promptly went back to bed as soon as i got done opening my presents & having my mom's traditional breakfast extravaganza (she made mine with veggie sausage this year! it was delish!)
okay, so for christmas i got a new digital camera!!! i'm so psyched!!! it's a canon powershot SD400 and i am now addicted to taking photos of everything! i haven't uploaded any of my vacation shots yet though - but i will say that my trip was well-documented. i took some hilarious video when i was in columbus too - my friends are so awesomely comical & entertaining. shout out to all my peeps who made it out on friday night too - we partied like it was 1849 (huh?) and i had soooo much fun. maybe too much fun, because...
like a dumbarse, i missed my 6:30 AM flight back to SF - so i had to fly standby!!! yikes! i didn't get back to cali until 10:30 west coast time - raced down to mezzanine - picked willo up outside - parked my car - ran back to mezzanine and walked in the doors right as the clock struck midnight!!! talk about your close calls.
because i had been traveling all day & was three hours ahead of everyone else (i.e. very tired & grumpy), and decidely not intoxicated, i realized that people are obnoxious on NYE. i don't think i'm going to go out to a bar/club next new year's eve. ted & misty have the right idea by staying in & partying with people you actually like and who won't make out right on top of you or spill their drink on you and not even say sorry or stand on you with their sweat dripping down like a shower of disgustingness. icky!
however, i will say that i really did enjoy the lovemakers & am glad i made it - but the next time i see them, i'd prefer not to have so many literal lovemakers around me, thankyouverymuch!
so, all in all, it was a good trip home - as soon as i get my photos uploaded i'll post them and the marvelousness of it all will come to fruition! yay!!!
now, back to work.
