"it's like crack."
whoa - just got home from the wolf parade show & i'm all jacked up on fantastic live rock 'n roll music! in a word, it was AWESOME. i am in love with the keyboardist now. and yes willo, i will fight you for him.
i was feeling reeeeally crappy & tired & cranky when i got home from work so i took a power nap, and i was still feeling kind of out of it when we were on our way over to the independent, but as soon as we walked in & scurried up front to see chad vangaalen's set (which was pretty rawktacular too), i got a little boost of energy - and that boost multiplied itself, like, 10,000 fold during the wolf parade set - completely un-eff'ing-believable. they definitely live up to the hype, at least in my humble opinion.
and the best part of the whole show was that i was literally leaning up against the stage, about 2 feet away from spencer and honest to god he sweat on me & during the encore i thought to myself "hell, i am practically sitting in his lap at this point" and it was JUST SO FUCKING AWESOME. AHHHHHH!
sorry for the cursing. and being groupie-like in my reaction to what would normally be considered gross sweat. but it is totally justified in this sort of situation! and who knew that spencer was such a little hottie mchotterson? damn!
did i mention that this show ROCKED? oh! and i also can't forget to mention that pat from rogue wave came on during chad vangaalen's set & sat in for a few songs, and for the last song of the wolf parade encore, everyone came back out on stage & sang "knockin' on heaven's door" and it was sweeeeeet. willo took alot of great photos and video that i'll have to link to once she gets them up & running!
ohmigosh, i need to go to bed now. but i can't. because i'm high on music crack. dammitt!

which night were you there lulu? thursday? hmmm, maybe the close proximity that i was to spencer skewed my impression!!!
