free space no more.

i received some very sad news today - my friends' band free space has decided to call it quits. this is a HUGE bummer to me b/c they are all such talented musicians and i love them all so much - i don't know the reasons behind the disbanding, but i'm sure it was a tough decision for all of them...

i have had so many great shows with them at ruby's in columbus & in their hometown of chicago - not the least of which just happened to be their cd release party on my 25th birthday! they even sang me happy birthday & had a cake for me!!! what sweethearts! i love those boys.

i wish i could say that i understand why they are no longer going to play, but i don't. they are so talented & so ambitious. it's just not making sense to me and i can't really make it compute. today is a very sad day. *sigh*
