for those of you who don't know, steely dan is my favorite band. yes, i'm serious. like, if someone says "what's your favorite band of ever and all time?" i would reply "steely dan, mofo". and i would be telling the truf.

the only other person i know in the bay area that hearts the dan as much as i do is pafaf (zack). a few weeks ago, my other steely dan lover, shaw, informed me that fagen & becker would be performing their celebrated catalogue at shoreline in july. HELLO?!? i am so there.

zack got us tickets last week and i am PSYCHED. and to compliment the yacht rockiness of it all, they're sharing the bill with none other than michael "imobethere" mcdonald. oh my goodness.

*steely dan addendum: the newest/last installment of yacht rock is all about the steely dan vs. the eagles fued and what album cover makes a special appearance in the first 2 minutes? the royal scam - aka probably the most recognizable album cover from my childhood. yes, this explains ALOT.
