weekend schmeekend.
okay, so i had a pretty fabulous weekend! yay. nothing toooo gosh darn exciting, but just rather pleasant and (gasp) relaxing...i know, say wha?!? frankie says relax.
friday morning i woke up with the mother of all headaches and i didn't even drink the night before (signifying the need for me to ahem, relax). i slept pretty much all the live long day until i had to get up and go in to work at bananarama...after work i scooted home, "freshened up", and met willo at the red devil lounge to commence our first episode of official show-stalking of our new bff's scissors for lefty! alright!!! there were some other bands on the bill, but the only one i remember is climber (b/c they gave away free stickers. score!) - they're from portland and were a'ight...the singer sounds an awful lot like thom yorke, but you'll have that. w & i also noticed that three of the four members of the band were married - what up w/ that? you can't be married and rock out. unless you are taylor hanson (did you know he was married? er, yeah.)
so anyway, scissors for lefty were of course fabulous and my music crush is deepening each day. *sigh*. we were alot closer to the stage this time too. mmmm hmmmm. and i LOVE it that people actually dance at their shows. amazing.
saturday i again worked at the banana republic & then went to a banana republic party where we all wore chinos and striped button-down shirts. uh huh. it was the first time i had hung out with my banana peeps outside of work and they were hi-larious...i can't even begin to get into the shenanigans that ensued, but it was definitely good times. i might have even gotten a bit tipsy...just maybe. but i can't disclose that sort of information at this juncture in my blog...
sunday morning AJ came over with his new, friggin' awesomely badass triumph and we went for an hour long ride all over the SF - it was soooo nice outside, the weather could not have been more perfect for tooling around the city...i wish i would've gotten a photo of us on the bike b/c we looked pretty kick ass, if i do say so myself. AJ even had a new helmet for me! awwww. in exchange for the bike ride, i let him enroll in my school of musical knowledge & gave him a few discs to listen to (transatlanticism - death cab, gold - ryan adams, & keep it together - guster; nice, safe, easy courses - an introductory level, if you will!) i'm all about bringing the muzak to the kiddies, i am.
thursday i'm off to seattle w/ eric for grisha's wedding reception & a well-deserved vacay from my job(s)...i can't eff'n wait!!!
and now i have to get back to work. yes, work. THIS is why i need a vacation!

phew. totally thought you were leaving tonight and i wasn't going to see you for a week. but glad to see i have you for this eve. unless you're show-going again?
