my so-called life: a week in review

holla! sorry i have been neglectful of my blog this week...i can attribute it to nothing less than mere lethargy on my part. plus, isn't it more exciting to read about everything all at once? yes, i do believe it is...

a quick rundown for those who care. little in number, but big in heart! :)

mon: valentine's day!!! why am i excited about this, i have/had no valentine. poo. but trish did send me some delicious cookies, so at least i felt loved! also, this was the day i locked myself out of my house (see below). ah, good times!

tues: i don't think anything exciting happened to me on tuesday. went to work, came home from work, um ummmmm....yeah, that's about it.

wed: same as tuesday....BUT, leslie came to visit and we got to watch lost (just walk around to the other side of the island, people!) and a good time was had by all. see, i told you people she was our unofficial third roomie!!!

thurs: my super-fab bossy-boss had an off-site day for us lowly employees at bay meadows race track in san mateo. no worky for ali! free lunch!!! tiny jockeys! wheee! i could get used to this....anyway, i had never been to the horse races before, and despite losing $4, i had a splendid time! (note: betting on a horse soley because you think their name is "cute" might not be the best strategy. y'know, for future reference.) and of course, no thursday night could be complete without the OC and my future imaginary husband seth cohen. i swear, between sandy cohen's infidelities and lorelai and luke breaking up on gilmore girls, i have lost all faith in relationships. even if they are between characters on tv. uh, i might need some serious help soon...

fri: after a long, hard day of work, i retired to my abode for a lovely evening of creating mixes on my iTunes and emailing dev whilst she was still at work. then, leslie kidnapped me for her super-secret covert operation...the details of which i cannot reveal. you know, classified information and whatnot. i can tell you that after a yummy cheesy pizza from pizza love, we watched what not to wear and crashed out on the couch...spent from our earlier evening activities.

sat: woke up, got out of bed....did not drag a comb across my head (please tell me you get this reference!). no no no, instead, ate leftover pizza for breakfast, vegged out on the couch and enjoyed a day of trashy tv, trashy magazines, and trashy leslie...wait, leslie isn't trashy! well, i mean, that depends on what your definition of trashy is. *wink*

later in the eve, i went to a potluck in berkeley w/ frankel (for somewhere so close, it's like a continent away...i know this sounds crazy, but trust me...if you lived in the bay area, you'd understand!) and had fab foodstuffs, fine wine, good music, and great conversation. i made sugar cookies, and i guess they were good...or otherwise people lied to me because they felt sorry for my poor cooking skills!!! whatevs, i'm choosing the live the lie.

today: i went on my first run in san francisco (or more accurately, tried to go on my first run) and i think i collapsed a lung. made a mental note to myself that i am out of shape and that i need to stop being a bum. then, ignoring that note, i took a nap. woke up. made a grilled cheese sammich. talked to nick on IM. caught up on my project runway. (i've missed the last two weeks! i was so behind! damn, i love that show.) talked to leslie. updated my blog.

and that would bring us back to now. big daddy is on tv! ah, love that movie!

"heep? heep-hop? heep-hop-anonymous?"

"I WIN!"

"damn you scuba steve!"

and. i'm. out.

It makes me so sad that there is an entire continent between we two.

Would you, could you aid me in my attempt to make one small corner (literaly) of the southern coast more tolerable?Well, sorta.

This lack of regular blogging is simply unacceptable!
